Rene van Wijk will take office as the new CEO of Sioux Technologies effective 1 January 2025. He succeeds Leon Giesen, who’s stepping down as the top executive at that date. Simultaneously, Erik van Rijswijk, COO and co-founder of Sioux, will give up his post as a member of the European board of directors. Both Giesen and Van Rijswijk will stay on in an advisory capacity.

Rene van Wijk has been with Sioux for more than five years as a member of the management team. In this role, he was responsible for setting up the company’s assembly activities. “Rene has proven to possess the right capabilities to further expand the direction of Sioux,” Giesen states. “He’ll safeguard the Sioux strategy that positions our company as a top global player in the high-tech equipment industry,” adds founder and owner Hans Duisters.

Rene van Wijk: “I’m proud and grateful to become the new CEO of Sioux. In recent years, I’ve enjoyed the people-oriented corporate culture. Together with the leadership team, we’ll maintain this culture as an essential part of our strategy. At the same time, we’ll take the company into the next phase of this rapidly changing world.”
