Dutch startup Fonontech victorious in global competition

Eindhoven-based Fonontech has won the Advanced Computing & Electronics category of the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge, Silicon Canals reports. The Dutch deep-tech startup is working on a printing technique that transfers fine-grained patterns onto complex-shaped substrates by ‘firing’ bits of material onto it. Applications of impulse printing include electronics assembly and display fabrication.

Hello Tomorrow is a global organization looking to accelerate the development and adoption of deep-tech solutions for industrial, environmental and societal challenges. More than 4,000 early-stage startups entered the 2023/2024 edition of its annual Global Challenge. Munich-based Tozero, working on lithium-ion battery recycling, has been declared the grand winner.
