Heinrich Daembkes, vicepresident engineering van EADS in Duitsland, is de nieuwe voorzitter van de Artemis Industry Association (Artemis-IA) – de vertegenwoordiging van bedrijfsleven, onderzoeksinstellingen en universiteiten in het Europese Artermis-subsidieprogramma voor embedded systemen.
Onder de vlag van Artemis, het Europese programma rond embedded software, start een project ter waarde van 22 miljoen euro rond het opensource Symbian-besturingssysteem voor mobiele apparatuur.
Bij de eerste call voor Artemis, het Europese R&D-programma voor embedded systemen, bleef de belangstelling van het Nederlandse MKB achter.
