On 21 November, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) opened its AI Experience Center. The university has a long tradition in artificial intelligence and wants to continue those efforts. The goal is to become a world-renowned digital innovation center that makes the unique opportunities of AI and robotics available for companies, starters, non-profits and knowledge institutions.
The AI Experience Center is a joint project of four VUB research groups: the Artificial Intelligence Lab, Brubotics, Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology (SMIT) and Electronics and Informatics (ETRO). Located on the Etterbeek campus is a high-tech environment for testing, demonstrating and meeting, where companies, technological entrepreneurs, scientists, policymakers and the general public can experiment and work together to find technological solutions. The lab is seeking collaborations with industry and research partners such as Imec.
