Technolution has acquired Phase to Phase, an Arnhem-based developer of advanced software for designing energy networks. This is a good fit with the technology integrator from Gouda, which is well positioned in the fields of smart grids and smart metering. Together, the companies can innovate more quickly in the rapidly changing energy market. Phase to Phase will continue to operate from its Arnhem office, under the same name.

The two companies have already been working together on energy transition solutions for quite some time. The acquisition is a natural next step for Phase to Phase, says founder Martin Dorgelo, who remains involved in the company. “Designing and calculating energy grids is increasingly a multi-party effort, with network administrators, local authorities, housing corporations and project developers working together,” he explains. “As the energy transition is changing the grid load, the role of dynamic data, eg from smart meters and sensors, is growing as well. Our combined solutions help manage all this.”

“With Technolution, we can deepen our portfolio,” Phase to Phase cofounder Berto Jansen adds. “Together, we can develop the existing desktop applications into web server solutions that are available 24/7, for instance. This will enable us to provide grid calculations as part of a broad service offering.”
