Océ becomes Canon

In a couple of months, the brand name Océ will be no longer. As of 1 January 2020, the Venlo-based company will continue as Canon Production Printing. Its products will also be merged under the Canon brand. Ten years after the acquisition by the Japanese corporation (link in Dutch), this marks the completion of the integration.

“After joining the Canon Group in 2010, Océ continued to develop and manufacture its printing products under the Océ brand,” the companies state in a press release. “By renaming Océ to Canon Production Printing and integrating the Océ products under the Canon brand, we will create brand unity across all areas of our printing business, improve synergies across our portfolio and establish a clear end-to-end, go-to-market approach.”
