ASML has ordered its US employees to stop working with customers in China for the time being, according to an internal company email that Bloomberg has seen. “ASML US employees must refrain – either directly, or indirectly – from servicing, shipping or providing support to any customers in China until further notice, while ASML is actively assessing which particular fabs are affected by this regulation,” the press agency cites the email, referring to a recently announced expansion of export restrictions to China. The new curbs will impact tool makers, but it’s not yet clear to what extent non-US companies are affected.
