Market researcher VLSI Research has included two Dutch managers in its 2019 All-Stars of the Semiconductor Industry, an annual list of executives who have made a remarkable contribution to the industry. They are Han Westendorp, vice president of corporate marketing front-end at ASM International, and Paul van Wijnen, vice president of corporate marketing at ASML.

According to VLSI, Westendorp has had an important hand in ASMI’s success in the ALD market. “Han’s strong product and technology background helped ASMI focus its thin-film deposition products to meet the rapidly changing process technology challenges of customers,” writes the market researcher.

ASML’s Van Wijnen is honored for his influential contribution to the reform of the market information system. Van Wijnen “redefined the market intelligence relationships with customers and all industry stakeholders” and “built one of the industry’s best market intelligence organizations to support the most wide-ranging R&D programs to deliver EUV technology,” states VLSI.
