Oisterwijk-based railway IoT specialist Dual Inventive has bought the shares of Dutch Insydes Group, consisting of the embedded-systems providers Arcobel Embedded Solutions and Core Vision. The agreement was signed on 3 June, confirming the transaction with retroactive effect from 1 January 2021. The parties have already been working together for a long time.
The past year, Dual Inventive saw its turnover, results and number of employees grow significantly. Deliveries of safety-critical IoT systems for railways to the UK and France also increased, as did demand from Europe and Australia for new products. Moreover, the growth of spinoff Anyware is exceeding expectations. With the acquisition, the company aims to further strengthen its development power, both in the area of cloud solutions and hardware and firmware.

Since 1974, Arcobel has been providing embedded hardware solutions, such as industrial PC systems for the telecom, rail, tram, metro, mechanical engineering, maritime and defense sectors, as well as advice to the industrial sector in the Benelux. Founded in 2007, Core Vision delivers embedded systems to industrial customers as well as safety-critical systems to Dual Inventive. Its Anysens IoT hardware platform simplifies the development of modular sensor solutions. The sensor data can be monitored by combining the solution with existing cloud platforms, such as Anyware. Core Vision is also a certified FPGA training institute.
“This step ensures both a broadening of the product portfolio and an expansion of the customer base on both sides,” comments Sjef ten Den, CEO of Insydes Group. “In addition, the various technologies can reinforce each other enormously. Both Arcobel and Core Vision will retain their own character and independence and remain under the leadership of the current management team.”
